1. Grading by Voltage Level
Zinc oxide arresters can be classified into three categories according to rated voltage:
It refers to the series products of zinc oxide arrester of 66KV or above, which can be roughly divided into four grades: 500KV, 220KV, 110KV and 66KV.
Medium-voltage type, which refers to zinc oxide arrester series products in the range of 3kV to 66kV (excluding 66kV series products), can be roughly divided into four voltage levels: 3kV, 6kV, 10kV and 35KV.
It refers to zinc oxide arrester series products below 3KV (excluding 3KV series products), which can be roughly divided into four voltage levels: 1KV, 0.5KV, 0.38KV and 0.22KV.
2. Distribution of discharge current according to nominal
Zinc oxide arresters can be divided into five categories according to the nominal discharge current: 20, 10, 5, 2.5 and 1.5kA.
3. By use
Zinc oxide arrester can be divided into seven types according to its use: line type for system, power station type for system, distribution type for system, protection type for shunt compensation capacitor bank, electrified railway type, neutral point type for motor and motor, and neutral point type for transformer.
4. By structure
Zinc oxide arresters can be divided into two categories according to their structure.
Porcelain jacket; Porcelain jacket zinc oxide arrester can be divided into four grades according to its anti-fouling performance. The first grade is common type, the second grade is for medium fouling area (creepage ratio distance 20 mm/KV), the third grade is for heavy fouling area (creepage ratio distance 25 mm/KV), and the fourth grade is for extremely heavy fouling area (creepage ratio distance 31 mm/KV).
Composite jacket; Composite jacket zinc oxide arrester is made of composite silicone rubber material as jacket, and chooses high performance zinc oxide resistor. It is made of special structure and advanced technology. It has double advantages of silicone rubber material and zinc oxide resistor. In addition to all the advantages of zinc oxide arrester with porcelain jacket, this series of products also have the advantages of insulation, high pollution resistance, good explosion-proof performance, small size, light weight, no maintenance in peacetime, not easy to break, reliable sealing and excellent aging resistance.
5. According to the structure performance, zinc oxide arresters can be divided into three categories: no gap (W), with series gap (C), with parallel gap (B).
